October 6th, 2009 – Beneath a Steel Sky – Remastered, an evolution of the award-winning graphic adventure designed by Charles Cecil in collaboration with Watchmen co-creator Dave Gibbons, will be available for iPhone and iPod touch through Apple’s App Store on Friday October 9th.

Priced £2.99/$4.99/€3.99, Beneath a Steel Sky – Remastered brings the 1994 classic bang up to date for Apple’s handhelds, with all-new illustrations and animations provided by Dave Gibbons, a fresh interface designed specifically for touch input, a brand new hint system, and digitally remastered art and sound.

The game received considerable critical acclaim on its original release, earning 95 per cent from CU Amiga, 94 per cent from Amiga Format, and 93 per cent from The One. Presciently described as being “destined to become a classic”, the game – which has since become a bona fide classic – remains as fresh and as playable today, weaving a thrilling narrative with intriguing puzzle solving in an epic story of conspiracy, betrayal and conflict.

Beneath a Steel Sky – Remastered is the first title to emerge from Charles Cecil’s Revolution Pocket division, which aims to bring classic and original titles to formats supporting digital distribution.
